Mack Heinz Identity

Identity system · full portfolio · motion + procedural sound

I built a portfolio that behaves like a haunted scrapbook assembled by a copier with unsupervised access to space.

A cosmic collage landscape with torn paper planets and a large Mack Heinz title.
The front door: a paper universe with the name turned all the way up.

The short version

My work lives in several incompatible little worlds, so a polite white gallery was never going to hold it. Cosmic Scrapbook became the connective tissue: an intergalactic studio wall where finished projects sit beside scraps, tape, stamps, jokes, and useful debris. The thing running the place is a sentient studio copier making increasingly elaborate problems.

The bad idea

A normal gallery would make everything quieter than it is. I wanted the site to behave like one more project: easy to move through, hard to forget, and tactile despite being trapped behind glass.

The Mack Heinz cosmic portal mark: torn cream paper around a black starfield with violet, coral, and blue accents.
The compact portal mark—built for headers, stamps, avatars, and tiny browser tabs.
Sound off. Motion on.
